<p><strong>Ingredients<br />
</strong>2 cups Unsifted all-purpose flour<br />
1 tablespoon Baking powder<br />
2 tablespoons Paprika<br />
1/3 cup Butter &#8212; cut in pieces<br />
1 cup Cheddar cheese &#8212; shredded<br />
2 large Eggs<br />
1/2 cup Plus 2 tbsp. heavy cream<br />
Baked ham &#8212; thinly sliced</p>
<p><strong>Methods<br />
</strong>Preheat oven to 425~F. Lightly grease large baking sheet; set aside.In large bowl of electric mixer, mix flour with baking powder, paprika, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.Add butter; at low speed, beat until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.Stir in 1/2 cup cheese.</p>
<p>Beat eggs with 1/2 cup heavy cream until blended.At low speed, beat egg mixture into flour mixture just until blended.</p>
<p>Turn out dough onto lightly floured surface; shape into ball.With floured rolling pin, roll to 1/2-inch thickness; cut out scones with 2 1/2 inch cutter.</p>
<p>Reroll scraps and cut out. Place scones on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with remaining heavy cream; sprinkle with remaining cheese.</p>
<p>Bake 15 minutes, or until golden. Split scones; fill with ham.</p>
